About us

Barak Capital is one of Israel’s leading investment groups. Barak began its operations almost two decades ago, as a proprietary trading company with a dozen manual traders.

 

Over the years, the group has grown and expanded its activities. Barak’s trading teams currently include tens of professional traders, trading sophisticated strategies, and groups that integrate trading, unique knowledge, and advanced technology. Barak’s trading expertise also led to the formation of an expert market making team, that serves as an official market maker in several exchanges worldwide.

 

Alongside its trading activities, Barak established an underwriting company, which through its skilled, professional team, became a leader in the industry in raising capital and providing tailor-made solutions for companies in the capital market.
As a complementary service, Barak also opened a research department that provides corporate research, financial analysis, and valuations.

THE MANAGEMENT

Eyal Bakshi, Founder, Chairman of the Board & CEO

Eyal Bakshi, the group's CEO, has over 25 years of trading experience in derivatives in the US and Israeli markets. Prior to the establishing of the Barak Capital group, Eyal served as the manager of Gmul Barak Market Making Ltd. and of the proprietary trading division in Clal Finance - Betuha, a well-known Israeli financial and brokerage firm. Eyal has a BA and MBA in Business Administration from New York University.

Dan Harari, CFO & Director

Dan Harari has served as the group’s CFO since 2006. Prior to this role, Dan was the CFO of Gmul Barak Market Making Ltd. and managed the Employees’ Options’ Sector at Tamir Fishman&Co. Dan has a BA and MBA in Business Administration from the College of Management.

Shelly Bakshi, CLO/CCO

Shelly Bakshi has served as the group’s CLO and CCO since 2006. Prior to her role in Barak, Shelly was a partner and attorney in Yehuda Raveh & Co. Law Offices. Shelly has an LLB degree in Law from Tel Aviv University and a BA in Government and Law from La Fayette University in PA, USA.

Eyal Fahima, VP Business Development & Director

Eyal Fahima has served as the group’s VP of Business Development since 2006. Prior to his role in Barak, Eyal was the CEO of Proceed Venture Capital Fund and served as an investment manager at Gmul Investment Company Ltd. Eyal has a BA in Economics and an MBA in Business Administration from the Hebrew University.

Yael Bubli Mazor, CRO

Yael Bubli Mazor has served as the group’s Chief Risk Officer since 2006. Prior to her role in Barak, Yael was a senior investment consultant and risk manager in Bank Leumi. Yael has a B Sc in Nuclear Engineering and Electrical Engineering from Ben Gurion University.

Idit Mizrahi Zadok, Head of Operations

Idit Mizrahi Zadok has served as the group’s Head of Operations since 2007. Prior to her role in Barak, Idit was the head of operations of Harel Capital Markets. Idit has a BA in Economics from the College of Management.
